Make Your Own Soup in a Bread Bowl Just Like Panera

Want a quick and easy way to put dinner on the table tonight?  Make your own soup in a bread bowl just like at Panera Bread!  First let me say I love Panera's food but my wallet doesn't like it quite as much as my tummy does.  So I decided there was no reason why I couldn't make one of my favorite Panera meals, french onion soup in a bread bowl, to save money.

I made a stop in the bakery section of my local grocery store and picked up a round loaf of bread very similar in size to the kind Panera uses and I picked up two cans of already prepared french onion soup in the soup aisle.  Then all you have to do is heat up the bread in the oven (should take 5-7 min) and while that's heating up, microwave your soup of choice.  Once the bread is done, gently cut out a circle and then tear out the bread to create a cavity for the soup to sit in.  Top it with some cheese of your choice and you are done!

Seriously it was so quick and easy and was just as good as Panera.  One word of advice, be careful when you cut out your hole to not go too deep in the loaf of bread or else the soup will leak out.  Other than that, enjoy!
