Friday Favorites Nov. 21, 2014

Since there hasn't been much going on at the Flip House lately I decided to post a Friday Favorites instead.  However, next week there are going to be huge changes at the Flip House if all goes according to plan so hopefully I can give you an impressive update next Friday.

Anyway, here's what I've been loving over the past week:

1.  This video on YouTube.  Seriously, I can't even.

2.  I don't think this one requires any further explanation:

3.  This blog for my beauty gals, especially the weekly drugstore sales tab at the top where every week she lists what items are on sale at the drugstore (she even has a Black Friday listing).

4.   I cannot get enough of this lotion by Philosophy.  It hydrates like no other and I adore the smell!  I usually forget to use a lotion after I get out of the bath or shower but I never forget when it comes to this stuff.  A bonus is the scent stays with me pretty much all day long.  I've had this for over two years and was rationing it because it's so dang expensive, but I decided I better use it before it goes bad.

5.  When cold weather hits I put away my powder blushes and break out my creams to help hydrate my drier skin.  I've really been loving this duo by E.L.F. and the best thing is the price as it's only $3.  I also use the E.L.F. Small Stipple Brush to apply it (also $3).   I usually order off the website when they are having a 40% off sale which they have often, at least once a month.

A Little Bit of Randomness:

*
I've really been battling dry skin on my face this week more so than I have any other year during the colder months.  I'm not used to having skin this dry so I went to Ross and Ulta today to get some hydrating skincare so fingers crossed it makes a difference.

 *  I'm headed up to Chicago tomorrow with my mama for our annual shopping trip and I'm super excited!

*  I cannot prepare salmon right and it's the most frustrating thing.  I don't know what it is but it doesn't matter if I cook it in a steamer, on the stove, or in the oven.  It never tastes like it does in a restaurant.

*  I've had my trash picked up at my house for over a year now and just yesterday I found out there's a certain way to leave your recycle bin at the road side.  I felt so stupid thinking the trash men probably cuss me out every week, but on the way home today I noticed no one in my neighborhood had theirs out correctly except me.  Now I feel like I'm the big cheese in my subdivision since I know how to do it properly now.  I'm hoping for a Christmas card this year from the trash men.
