Ever wonder when to throw out that old makeup? I have a great tip for those who like to stay on top of things like that. I personally like to keep makeup until I darn well feel like throwing it out. Or when the color, scent, or consistency of the item changes then I know it's time for it to go. Otherwise, how do you know when to throw out that old lip gloss? Flip it over and on the back will be something that looks like this:
This particular item is good for 24 months after it's opened. It's as simple as that! It was only recently I learned these little pics actually exist on the back of beauty care products and I have to admit it's pretty clever. Some will say 6M, some 12M, and some 24M. I don't believe I've ever seen anything higher than 24. So basically you can write the month and year you opened a product right on the cosmetic label or just simply stick your own label on it if you'd like to keep track of when you should pitch it.
