Life Update, I'm Moving!!!!

I've been keeping this a secret for a couple of months now and I finally closed on a new house this past Monday.  So yes, I'm moving and I'm so excited!  It's a house on a lake and it has a little over 25 acres so I'm super pumped about the bigger yard since I have a lot of animals that need space to run.  It's a 4 bedroom 4.5 bath house which is perfect because that will give me a guest room, office, and I'm going to turn one of the smaller bedrooms into a closet similar to what I have now.

I definitely need to give it my own touch though as some of the rooms have wallpaper and I can't stand wallpaper.  But with everything I'm learning over at the flip house I should be able to do all of the wallpaper stripping, painting, and updating myself to help save money.

I went over there this morning and I completely forgot to bring my camera so the photos below were taken directly off the realtor's website:

Luckily I don't have to do too much to the outside but the statues on either side of the front walkway have to go and I'm going to take out a few of the bushes.  Other than that I'm going to leave the rest alone.

Below is the master bedroom.  I'm going to paint the walls a dusty blue color and I'm debating whether to paint the closet doors and wood trim white or not, but I have time to figure things like that out.  The ceiling fan has to go too.  I don't do leaf fans.

Here's the master bathroom.  That wallpaper has to go!  But I love how roomy it is and I think I can really make it cute and more updated pretty easily.

Here's the dining room.  I'm not sure what to do about that red wall.  I might keep it but I guess ultimately it depends on what color scheme I go with this house.  I'm all about neutrals right now with white trim so I will probably end of changing it.

And then last but not least is the living room.  The carpet has to go!  I'm also going to paint the walls so they are all the same color.  I'm not understanding why these people just painted one wall in each room.  It's like they wanted color, but not too much.

At any rate I will get some more pictures for you tomorrow and then I can post some photos of what the house looks like without all the former homeowner's furniture in it.  My official move in date will be in May as that will give me some time to make a few minor updates to the house before I move in.  And if you've made it this far in reading my blog post then all I have to say is.....

And for anyone wondering, this house is listed for $872,000.  That's just a little out of my price range!
