Update at the Flip House Feb. 27, 2015

I've really been working hard on the room with the wood walls and here are some photos of what it looked like originally to refresh your memory:

The room is now painted!  Here's what it looks like as of today:

And don't worry, the house is not haunted to my knowledge.  Those orbs you see is the dirt I stirred up before I took the photos.  I just love that the stairwell is now open because it makes the room look so much bigger, and I feel like it will look absolutely beautiful with handrail installed.  I can't wait to see how it transforms when we get to that point!

Here's what we have left to do in here before we can call it finished:

• Put trim back up
• Enclose bottom of stairway
• Install new handrail
• Install ceiling light fixture
• Paint interior of closet and put shelving inside
• Reinstall door to closet
• Paint all trim white
• Pull up carpeting

A Little Bit of Randomness:

•  Anyone else sick of the cold weather?  Actually I was already tired of it the first day it was cold as I'm definitely a warm weather girl.  Come on Spring!  It's my favorite season! 

•  This flip house has given me so many battle wounds it's not even funny.  Here's what I have experienced so far:

1. stepping on a nail (as in the nail went into my foot)
2. busted knuckles
3. burned finger from touching a hot screw (this one happened yesterday)
4. plaster, dirt, and insulation in my eyes
5. paint, plaster, dirt, and fiberglass in my mouth
6. Bruised shin from a sheet of drywall falling on it
7. Pinched hands 
8. Torn fingernails
9. Smashed fingers
10. Three different contusions on my head from hitting it on random boards
11. What was I talking about?  I can't remember?

•  Anyway, I decided to take today off from working at the flip house.  Well, I guess technically I'm going to head to Menards later on today to pick up some supplies for the house and I'm going to drop them off but I'm not actually going to work-work there.  This girl needs a day off to catch up on errands and give the ole body a break!
