Update at the Flip House Jan. 30, 2015

The stairwell walls going into the basement are now painted!  Here's what it's looking like as of today:

Just in case you don't remember here is what it used to look like:

Even though it's not finished yet I think it's a huge upgrade already from what we were working with.  The paint color is a very light creamy yellow shade by Valspar called Popcorn.  

Here's what we have left to do to the basement stairwell before we can call it done:

• Add trim around new back door
• Paint walls and ceilings
• Install hardwired smoke alarm above junction box
• Install decorative cover over ugly junction box
• Install linoleum on landing
• Paint stairs gray 
• Paint trim white

A Little Bit of Randomness:

• Right now I'm waiting for FedEx to come by the house and deliver some spray foam insulation for the ceiling on the second floor at the flip house.  Apparently I have to sign for it and they came by the house yesterday while I was at the flip house and left me a note saying they would try again.  So I decided to take today off and just wait for them to come.  First of all it feels weird taking a day off as the past few weeks I've been working 7 days a week, secondly I wish the guy would hurry up.  I've been confined to the main floor all day so as not to miss the delivery and I'm going nuts being cooped up! 

• Buster the rabbit has found a new hobby...he likes to poop on the doorstep during his nightly play time on the screened in front porch.  This habit just started this week and he thinks it's hilarious to watch me dodge all the little pellets he leaves behind when I come out onto to the porch. 

• Come ON FedEx guy.  I have things to do!
