Friday Favorites Dec. 12, 2014

I've been working hard over at the Flip House the past couple of weeks and I'm debating whether to post about every little change or wait until an entire room is complete and then write a post on it.  If you have a preference as to whether you would like me to post on changes every week or if I should only post when I finish a room then leave a comment below and let me know what you would prefer.

At any rate I'm going to do my Friday Favorites today and I have some great things to share that I've been loving for the past couple of weeks.

1.  This Christmas song makes me so happy:

2.  This popcorn is fantastic.  I order it from Vitacost and it's a great low calorie snack with just a subtle cheese flavor.  It's easily my favorite popcorn and Chia seeds supposedly keep you feeling full longer.

3.  I've been breaking out a little bit lately and that's pretty rare for me so I've decided that I need a makeup remover to go along with my skincare routine.  Usually creamier cleansers don't remove my makeup very well so I want to ensure all my makeup is off my face before I wash it with the cleanser I have been using in these drier months.  I've been loving these cleansing wipes from Yes to Coconut.  They smell so good, don't irritate my skin, and do a great job at removing my makeup before I wash my face at night.

4.  As you may know from my previous blog posts I now floss my teeth.  Okay, I may not do it every night but I do floss probably half the week which is better than never!  I really like these flossers I picked up for $1 at the Dollar Tree.  They don't get stuck in between my teeth and they make it really quick and easy to do.

5.  Everyone makes such a big deal out of Bath and Body Works 3 Wick Candles but I love these so much more.  They are by the company Illume and can be found at Target (my Target store has it at the end of the candle aisle).  They smell so incredible and they last longer than Bath and Body Works candles because they are soy candles instead of paraffin, which means they burn cleaner and for a lot longer.

The Illume candles have two wicks instead of three and they retail for $10.  Bath and Body Works candles retail for $22.50 and sometimes you can get buy one get one free, but even when they are on sale these Illume ones are not only cheaper but they also last longer.  The scents are also fantastic as they have a great throw and I even like them better than the Bath and Body Works ones.  Right now my favorites are the Red Velvet Cupcake and Autumn Harvest.  If you don't believe me the next time you are in Target give one of these candles a sniff test!

Little Bit of Randomness:

*
Is it just me or have people been moving awfully slow today.  I had to pick up a few things and run some errands and people were driving slowly, walking slowly, pushing carts slowly...seriously I was so happy to get home.

*  Buster the Bunny has been showing off for me lately by running around and performing tricks.  He has even learned to hop up onto the chaise lounge on the front porch.  I've been finding him chilling on it quite frequently.
*  I have a few DIY Christmas presents to make but for the most part my shopping is about 90% complete so I feel good about that!

*  I forget what the sun looks like.  Seriously, I would like to see it again because it's been so gloomy and overcast for what seems like forever.  The last time I even wore sunglasses was some time last week.

*  I have not watched one single Christmas movie yet.  My goal is to set aside some time this weekend to do just that but I have quite a bit of work to do at the Flip House so we will see if I am able to or not.  I must make it my goal though to at least watch The Grinch, Elf, Home Alone, and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation by Christmas Day or it just won't even be a good Christmas!
