I kept it very simple this year not by choice but by convenience. Below is a close up of one of the canvases on either side of my TV. I love it because there is a real flickering light behind the canvas that shows through where the candles flames are located on the picture. I bought them several years ago at LTD Commodities. It looks so warm and cozy at night.
The stocking holders and stockings were purchased at Target a couple years ago and the lighted garland was purchased from Dollar General last year.
The red beaded Christmas trees were purchased from Target a couple years ago, the two small nutcrackers were purchased from Dollar General this year for $1, and the other decorations like the tin, the bell, and the snowman on skis I have had either since childhood or they were inherited.
The snowman tealight candle holder below holds a dear place in my heart. When I was a teenager I was babysitting one time and in order to do something "fun" decided to roast marshmallows over a vanilla scented candle. The marshmallows were a little waxy tasting but otherwise not bad! This candle holder reminds me of that time whenever I look at it. I've had the vase for years, it was hand made from a local artisan, and the mint and gumdrop branches were purchased at Walgreens last year for 70% off at their end of Christmas sale.
