MAC Nymphette Lipglass Dupe

First of all I have to apologize for not getting a post up on Friday.  It was a total fail especially during the first week of my new blogging schedule, but if it makes you feel better I didn't even have time to work out either so I guess there's that.

At any rate, maybe you can forgive me when I tell you about something I discovered the other day.  There is a MAC Lipglass dupe at your nearest drugstore and it's Milani's Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in the shade Luminous.  When I bought it I thought it looked similar to MAC Nymphette in the tube but it wasn't until I got it home and swatched it that I realized it's an exact dupe.

I have swatched it both in indoor lighting and outdoor lighting and as you can see it is an EXACT dupe.  In the photos MAC is on the left and Milani is on the right.  Both lip glosses have the same super sticky texture so if you have a problem with sticky lip gloss formulas then this dupe is not for you.  I don't mind as I find stickier lip glosses tend to last longer on my lips.

MAC Lipglass retails for $15 for 0.17 oz. and Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss is larger at 0.21 oz. and retails at both Drugstore.com and CVS for $5.49 and at Walgreens for $5.99.  Of course you can also find Milani on sale often so wait for a sale to save even more money!

A Little Bit of Randomness:

*
If you noticed my post on Wednesday it did not include this segment as I thought I would start including them only in my Friday posts, but since I didn't have a Friday post last week I decided to include it in my Makeup Monday post if you were wondering what's going on.

*  For the past couple of weeks I've been a foster mom to four orphaned kittens.  I just weened them last week and sent them home on Saturday only to realize I never took one single photo of them!  I'm so upset!  In my defense I did have my hands full with four very affectionate and needy kittens so taking photos was the last thing on my mind but I miss them terribly already and I cried (sobbed really) when I had to send them home.

*  I am not a cold weather person so this snow in the middle of November has me seriously ticked.  I looked up the average daily weather for my area and it's 51 degrees high and 33 degrees low.  Today the high was 24 degrees and the low tonight's going to be 10.  Ridiculous!

*  I went and got cocky and have now started flossing my teeth in addition to using my bubble gum flavored mouth wash.  We will see how long this lasts.
