Anyone Care for a Spot of Tea?
I promise, I will fix whatever ails you! I'm not a coffee drinker but I love my tea and I used to have my tea "collection" in a kitchen cabinet next to the sink until I realized I needed more room to hold all my teas. I had this blank area in between my kitchen cabinets and the door leading down to my basement that was unused real estate so I decided that would be a good spot to store and display tea, however I knew that whatever I bought to store them would have to be very shallow so it didn't interfere with my door opening and closing.
I set out on a mission and I swear I went to every store in town looking for a stand, cabinet, or shelf with a shallow enough depth that I felt would work. Finally I found something at Hobby Lobby and I was lucky enough that they were having a 50% off sale on their metal decor. I snagged these exact shelves here for $22.50 each and I absolutely love how my little tea center turned out. As you can see the shelves are actually meant to sit on a counter top but I wanted to hang them. They are super sturdy on the wall just as well as on a counter.
In case you were wondering, I buy my Yogi teas from Vitacost.com as they have the largest selection I have found. It's so much fun to browse through all their teas plus they have free shipping on orders of $49 or more and if you click the link here you can receive $10 off a minimum $30 order for first time customers.
Now my tea is no longer taking over my cabinets, can be easily hidden away simply by opening my basement door, and I love how it is so easy to see what teas I have at a glance. I wanted to pop on here to share my idea with you in case you would like to make a tea (or even coffee) center in your house too!
